along the sidestreets



there are twists
to turn
as the maze we wander
takes to changing

which corner which motion which
way
will we go

to the pharynx, a journey by
soundwave :: cavities in the skull
ventilated through the nose. a Temporal bone
[[pressure changes]] and the atmosphere here may vary

[[drifted]] she said



wandered into unknown corner and taken
a view of this other world
the one we miss in routine step
catch
glance, with your ears of course
to hear what the air has to offer us

they once compared similarities with those
scaled of creature
some underwater wandering to yearn to

found against the pinna
we maneuver way in
variations of vibrations to be weary of
balancing finding balances winding
a staircase we like to call canal

make way through the cavity: toward that tympanic drum
malleus, incus, and stapes for stirrups
ossicles, hammers, and anvils ansty to awaken at
any given glance or glimmer
upon those
footplates and pedals pushing to produce
these very translations we learn to consume

we are at the last reel to be setup to conclude mr. Schaller's showing
film clinks and clanks to reveal what the reel will project

in searching for sounds:

projecting their imagery onto the screens

what can be scene

discerned and learned by those
watching eyes, listening ears, all the tangles to intertwine by, intervene between

he goes on to explain himself; his work; his magic.
gives us a slight preparation for the tricks he's toting in that
back pocket

kinks and bangles. a listening exercise.

red lines become vibrations sent
onto a journey which is
[oir] to Hear
follow them as they enter and make
way in [to map] the human Ear.



its when we begin

[to hear] its
as we start

to listen

finding the finer things within the mechanisms making up our everyday
trip. and see with your ears
what have we
here


[[ strategic maneuvering ]]
it began with the strategy of simply following instincts: signs, if you will, that lead us on
wandering the sidestreets to see what secrets were kept there, what was to be found

as my pace slowed
caught, in more musical arrangement than i'd known, been aware of, ready for
waiting in the overpass the rails and rocketed trainride beneath my tremoring toes
there was a rustling of iron, bar and spoke, there was a roll of wave tide tilted in its path
an ebb catch flow coaxed into the rusting walls that bear its wet crawl across the city (below) the passerby in their general banter; forgetting the listening tools in order to pass faster
[what is this rush our cities grow into?] fastfasrfastening seatbelts so by any means possible we could possibly Fly, and disappear here.

but hearing;


i am turned in circles slightly, waiting on each approaching sense of new
these sounds and what they bring as shadowplay-light, dancing

it began without much strategy at all. perhaps asked just
to wander. without much constraint or purpose or guide
just
following.

it was later taken into my own hands
palms pressed with lines i've found as growing came along with me
distinctly telling stories of this past passed by

the technique began to follow the ear and its mapping. began to be as if one were wandering into the ear and its pedals and drums humming tunes into one another and bouncing the vibrations aRound. there is not a predetermined pathway, rather let's break out the sedated casual saunter we generally take; pushing out into the bounds we build for our own limitations

A tympanic pull, canals drifted and an elliptical window to pass through, a circular window, the vestibular nervesssss, Cochleating these cavities to find an Eustachian tube to take us to another realm :: brainwork.
